This video was shot, edited, and uploaded entirely on solar power. How'd I do it?
The Jackery 1000 v2 and Renogy 200 watt solar panels are almost a perfect pair. In this video I unbox a Jackery 1000 v2 and connect to four Renogy 200 watt solar panels. We'll see what works, what doesn't work, and what's needed next.
As an outdoor lover, I've used a Jackery Explorer 300 for several years and it has served me very well. After hurricane Milton in September, 2024, I realized that gas powered generators just won't work for me. I added two Jackery Explorer 1000 v2's to the mix, paired with six 200 watt Renogy solar planels.
The first lesson I learned was that the v2 needs a proprietary adapter to connect to solar. After burning (literally) a generic adapter from Amazon, I got the right one from Jackery. In this video we'll see the results, and what might be needed next to get the full power of the panels.
