I attended the exhibit and took snapshots of Jean Paul Gaultier's best work on display. It was impressive, to say the least. Here's a look inside the fashion world of Gaultier through my photo lens.

Fashion is not just a lifestyle, it's also art. Forget the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in Manhattan. On October 25 through February 23, 2014, the Brooklyn Museum will be the only East Coast venue presenting the exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk.

It is the first international exhibit dedicated to the celebrated French designer, organized by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and will feature iconic examples never before exhibited with new material not shown in the previous venues, including ensembles from his recent runway shows.

The exhibition is curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot of the MMFA. The Brooklyn presentation is coordinated by Lisa Small, Curator of Exhibitions, Brooklyn Museum.
