Nationals Senate Leader Bridget McKenzie has slammed Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen for his decisions surrounding nuclear energy and renewables.
Mr Bowen has pushed back against the Coalition nuclear energy plan.
“Bowen is desperate I think,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“His pathway ... carpeting our productive land with solar panels – 28,000km of transmission lines crisscrossing rural and regional communities.
“You’ve got the terrible decisions around those windfarms offshore that are causing a lot of angst now in Labor party seats.
“He’s starting to realise that his decisions that aren’t based in reality are not being favoured by the people.
“That’s going to have political consequences.”
