👉 Learn how to convert numbers from scientific notations. Scientific notation is a convenient way of writing very large or very small numbers. A number written in scientific notation is of the form a * 10^n where a is the first non-zero number between 1 and 10, (1 included) and n is the number of digits up to the decimal point.
To convert a number from a scientific notation, we move the decimal point from its original position in the standard notation to n places to the right, if n is positive or to the left, if n is negative. If the digits available in the scientific notation are not up to the current position of the decimal point, we use zeros to complete the remaining digits.
