Commercial Gas Courses and City & Guild Courses at Able Skills in Dartford Nr London.


Able Skills Plumbing training is arranged on separate sites and this means we're able to offer short courses for those of you looking to receive hands on fast-track training in domestic plumbing, and also City & Guilds qualifications for the more serious plumber looking to learn plumbing as a career.

For the beginner, we offer an intensive five-day course that will provide you with the skills and knowledge to tackle a wide variety of plumbing tasks around the house, saving yourself serious time and money.

During the course you'll learn how plumbing systems work and we'll demonstrate and explain all the materials, tools and fittings used. You'll be taught jointing and soldering techniques, bending and pressure testing.

The course also covers bathroom installation, valves, taps
Cisterns, soil and waste pipes and how to install radiators.
Having enjoyed the first course, many students then decide to join our more advanced five-day course that takes them deeper into domestic plumbing.
This course covers fitting a cylinder and cold water tank....

motorised valves and pumps and gives students an understanding of wiring heating systems.
For those of you considering plumbing as a career, Able Skills is an accredited City & Guilds Training centre is so it's able to offer training and assessment for a wide range of City & Guilds plumbing qualifications including City & Guilds 6129 Levels 2 and 3, the new City & Guilds 6189 -- the required qualifications to enter the plumbing industry.

Your success is important to us and so we've structured the course with this success firmly in mind. We also know that you may not be able to train during the week so we also offer the course over a series of weekends.
The course is a great mix of practical hands-on and theory training which will prepare you both for your assessments and a career in plumbing in the real world.

The eight-week course will provide you with in-depth training and assessment in areas such as domestic hot water and heating systems.
Sanitation, systems electrical supply and earth continuity systems and sheet weatherings.

We can also provide training and assessment in unvented systems, energy efficiency and water regulations and solar domestic hot water systems so you can keep up to date with all the latest plumbing developments and regulations.

Able Skills also has the staff and approval system in place to offer on-site NVQ training and assessment once you're working in the industry.

Able Skills' dedicated Gas Training and Assessment Centre allows us both to train both new entrants to the gas industry and to offer assessment and reassessments for those already working in the industry.
For new entrants were able to provide you with work placement to complete the portfolio aspect of this training programme.

If you're new to Gas and your aim is to register onto a gas competence scheme, there's no better place to train than Able Skills.
