The Being + Wonder + Within exhibition combines the work of three groups of artists, each with a unique perspective on being human and how we exist as part of the world.
Group 1 of 3
Ikigai: A Reason for Being
Artists - Matthew Farrell, Egan Franks Holzhausen, Angelica Hay, Alyson Rodriguez, and Katie Toepp
"Ikigai: A Reason for Being" is a collective of contemporary artists approaching subjects through different means but arriving at a similar place of introspection on personal experiences. The resulting collective display asks the viewer to do the same. In asking the viewer to go into a potentially uncomfortable place of reflection, the combination of work presents complex questions about identity, culture, memory and ultimately the human condition.
