'국가 참칭' IS 수도 무너졌다...쿠르드•아랍軍 "락까 장악"
U.S.-backed forces in Syria have recaptured the city of Raqqa, the "capital" of the Islamic State's self-proclaimed caliphate.
It ends three years of IS rule in the city, marking the close collapse of the jihadist group.

The Syrian Democratic Forces will soon make a formal declaration of victory for the four-month battle.
Troops can be seen celebrating in the streets, chanting slogans from their vehicles and hauling down the black IS flag from the National Hospital - one of the last two major IS positions in Raqqa to be cleared on Tuesday.
But the takeover is not completely over as clearing operations are underway to remove mines and any possible sleeper cells.
But it still marks a significant achievement in shrinking the presence of IS.
For three years, Raqqa was the group's center of global operations, where attacks abroad were planned, new militants were recruited, and public beheadings took place.
IS has lost much of its territory in Syria and Iraq this year, including its most prized possession, Mosul.
In Syria, it has been forced back into a strip of the Euphrates valley and surrounding desert, reducing their reign of terror into a struggle for survival.
However, there is no escaping the fact that this battle has left Raqqa in total ruins.
Houses, apartment blocks and public buildings have been flattened by air strikes or holed by shellfire.
Also an estimated 270-thousand people who fled the fighting would likely be stuck in aid camps for months or years.
