On Monday, Malayalam film actor Minu Muneer accused prominent stars M. Mukesh and Jayasurya of sexual harassment. This comes as the South Indian film industry is still reeling from the Justice K. Hema Committee’s startling revelations of harassment and abuse against women within the industry.
The allegations follow the resignations of director Ranjith and actor Siddique from their positions in the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), which occurred just a day earlier after similar accusations were leveled against them.
