A powerful typhoon is set to approach significantly close to western Japan's Kinki region and central Japan's Tokai region and is feared to make landfall on Aug. 15, according to the country's weather agency. In eastern to western Japan, people are urged to be on their guard against storms, landslides, inundations in low-lying areas, swollen rivers and flooding, as well as tidal waves.
