Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark was hit by a devastating storm. Heavy rains caused widespread flooding of towns and villages, destroyed roads, bridges, dams, water-, gas- and electricity pipelines and cut off connections between towns... waters left behind a lot of damage. Numerous landslides threaten the region. Many places are still cut off from the world and without the basic necessities of life.
