The viewer choice votes are in, and the antique fire extinguisher restoration is the winner! Welcome back to the Crafty Crow Show everyone. You watched, you voted, and now the winner is revealed. But this being my first restoration video, it's sure is a long one. Probably one that should have been a 2 part episode, but I decided we would make it a long one so you didn't have to wait to see the results. The fire extinguisher turned out great, and i'm very happy with the results. As usual, I show you the successes and failures we came across while restoring this old gem. The entire project took me a total of three days to complete, so I definitely put the work in on this one for you guys. But it was a very fun and relaxing time, and I finally have my own copper soda ash fire extinguisher to enjoy. And, it was the first major project on the new work bench in the workshop, and I loved every minute of it. One reason this video is so long is I give info not only on how I restored the extinguisher, but a little on the company that manufactured it and how one of these extinguishers work. I never knew how these functioned without compressed air inside, but now I do, and I share that info with you so you will never have to wonder. I really wanted to make it functional again and show it in action, but unfortunately I don't think its able to be used. But if we ever find out how we can pressure test it, we may try and get it working again. All the parts are there fortunately, which was a big surprise. I also show some techniques that you can use on your own extinguisher to get it shining and back to "like new" condition.
