"The reality is more gas will not lead to more manufacturing jobs,"
said Richie Merzian, explaining the Australia Institute's latest research on gas and manufacturing.
"Gas is a fossil fuel. It is contributing to the climate crisis and it's not necessarily going to help with our economic recovery either."
