I'm re-uploading (Nov 2018) this beauty 'cause there's a 1/4 second bug towards the end which ... bugged me. And also because this LL Rain is one of the best, I just had to try and "make it almost exactly perfect". Hope it is.
Another LoloYodel 2 camera angle re-mix with my habitual thanks and gratitude (see credits below).
Here, it's from one of the 9 night run at Madison Square Garden, NY.
The September east-coast run was 17 concerts : 4 at The Capital Centre, Landover, MD., 4 at The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA. and 9 at The Madison Square Garden, NYC.
Angle One (left of stage angle) :
Brokedown House Production (with thanks & gratitude).
Taped by Anon Tapes provided by Ian Production Consultant Markiki, Captured & Edited by P. Togos, Synch & Authoring by Kevin Tobin...
Video: AUD (Tripod) ~ Master: JVC GX-N8U ~ 2 Decks ~ JVC HR-S20U ...
Missing almost all of "Truckin" and the last 2 critical minutes of "Morning Dew". As well, all of the encore "JB Goode".
Angle Two (right of stage angle) :
Video: AUD (Tripod) ... apparently unsigned ... kicks in at 1:20.
"Drums" & "Space" are missing on this Angle.
LoloYodel video modifications : notably set 2 (to TRY and harmonize as much with Angle One) :
Color Contrast : +20%
Saturation: -20 to -50%
Intensity, Gamma : +10%
Red Color Gain : -35%
Blue Color Gain : -75%
Audio: Soundboard ~ DAT ~ Cassette ~ ... (shnid=130698)
"Masterpiece" : 1st 0:37 secs patched with audience recording.
LoloYodel Notes :
Nice two camera dynamics (always useful to hide shakes, stage pans, catch other band members etc ...)
Set One : This show seems strong, clearly not historical ... Jack Straw is not completely on target, Althea finds it's "getting hot", Bobby really digs "Big River", Peggy-O is thorough and continues to gain strength throughout to include the GD's 5th rendition (of out 6 total) of "Louie Louie" (funny to see how the 2 cameras didn't really know how to film : was it a Brent, Bobby, Jerry song ...)
Set Two :
"Bertha" : energy, energy, energy ! Bobby slams ? ... well, just watch ! ha ! Oh, tell me Jerry is not juiced at 5:35 ...
"Cumberland" : cool how Bobby engages immediately into another Jerry song ...
"Looks Like Rain" : with Jerry's sustained note at 3:11 (15:42) ... and at, 5:00 (17:24), with the beginning of the outro with Jerry flying dove-drivin' bullets of rain into the night ! Is this song THE most beautiful love song ever ...?
"Terrapin" ... well, just Terrapin ! a wonderful story and with Jerry pronouncing each word with his sufficient perfection.
"drums" : Angle Two is totally out. During the end, Angle One is filled with (crafty) graphics).
Otherwise, "drums", or The Rhythm Devils, as you wish, with Billy more on a classical rhythm and Mickey on more of a hypnotic, impassioned percussion's ... these guys are great.
"Truckin'" : Angle One is totally out on 80% of the song ... hence, pure Angle Two.
otherwise, a few black video moments .. patience mate, it's good !
"Goin' Down The Road" : yes, on target !
"Morning Dew" : besides that Angle One (Brokedown House) is missing during the last, crucial 2 min's, of the song, this is a very SWEET Dew !
"JB Goode" : 100% Angle Two
PS : geez, just an ouhhh so zippy GD 2nd set ! Great fun ! Thanks to all, including the great soundboard recording.
