Namaste, We are Shirish and Pooja
and Welcome to a Traditional Appe Special Episode of @RedSoilStories
We were seating in our front yard in a wonderful night under the stars and Pooja was doing oil message on my head. My Uncle and Aunty ( Mama and Mami ) were coming at our home the next day so I asked Pooja what she is going to prepare for them.
She said she has already soaked Rice and Grams for "Appe". She was going to prepare Traditional Appe both Sweet and Spicy.
She then ground the batter for spicy appe and kept it for fermentation overnight. Next morning she first prepared the batter for sweet appe and Kept it for 4 hours to ferment.
Then she prepared Spicy Appe and Once the Batter for sweet appe was ready, she prepared them.
Both of these were prepared on a traditional cast iron pan called "Bhidyacha Tava".
Once my uncle and aunty came, we enjoyed the Appe for breakfast.
