I started my kayaking with a Pelican that I bought at Dicks Sporting Goods, it was a good kayak but no storage or compartments. After a few years of day trips, I decided that I wanted a kayak that had bulkheads with sealed covers so I could head out kayak camping and it had to be short enough to fit inside my camper. After spending a few months looking at varies kayaks I stopped at the Lake George Kayak Company and they fixed me right up.
