Joe Dumars's highest scoring game of his 1989 Finals MVP campaign. Isiah Thomas gets called for two fouls quite early in the game and Dumars takes on the task of scoring 17 points in about the first 16 minutes of the game, most of which Thomas sat out. He then finishes the half with 26 points by being the main reason for Detroit withholding the offensive push by the Lakers.
Joe D made some funky old-school bankers which drew the awe of announcers Dick Stockton and Hubie Brown. The three most creative of his 6 assists are also featured in the video. June 8, 1989.
