I recently spent some quality time with the 2023 Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo: a long-roofed version of the latest high-performing electric Porsche. The new GTS trim grade is positioned smack in the middle of the model lineup, above the more modest Taycan and Taycan 4S but below the mighty Taycan Turbo and the extreme Taycan Turbo S.
The Sport Turismo designation references the body style of my tester — this time around, a shooting brake. You can have your Taycan in standard sedan configuration, the Sport Turismo like my GTS-grade tester, or the Cross Turismo which shares the Sport Turismo profile, but with added clearance and cladding for extra rough-road capability.
These impressions are based on about 1,000 kilometres of rural, backroads and highway driving, both by day and night, with fall temperatures in Northern Ontario between 0 and 12 degrees celsius for the bulk of my test week.
