Over recent years, a number of manufacturer's including Yamaha have developed some "smart" little circuits to help your system sound better. Yamaha call their system YPAO which is short for Yamaha Parametric Acoustic Optimiser which automatically adjusts the output of your speakers based on placement, performance, and the room's acoustic characteristics.
