A high court decision reinstating Embu Governor Martin Wambora could trigger financial crisis in county governments if the senate suspends debate on two important bills before it. Senators are threatening to suspend indefinitely debate on the division of revenue and the county allocation of revenue bills that determine the allocation and disbursement of funds to counties to protest Wambora's ruling and another ruling barring it from summoning governors over county governments' expenditures.
