Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered an impassioned speech before the Global Policy Forum on Monday, speaking about the resilience of his nation's residents amid the ongoing military invasion by Russia.
He spoke about how early in the war, "when the aggressor was fighting against other countries, he was thinking that Ukraine's back will be broken." But he said the country had shown "it is not possible to break Ukraine."
Zelenskyy said it was a "key moment" for Ukrainians to return to the country, discussing the migration and refugee crisis that has occurred since the war began, seeing millions of residents flee their homes amid the fighting.
He again asked world leaders to provide Ukraine with "modern weaponry" to continue to protect his people, saying they need the weapons to "do it faster."
