Marinette and Sabine lived in Japan when Marinette was young, Marinette’s real father passed away and Sabine met Tom and moved to Paris when they got married. Marinette would call Tom Dad because he was super close to her and he acted like her real dad. Once Marinette turned 15 (about a year into being Ladybug) Tom and Sabine got divorced and Sabine moved Marinette and herself back to Japan. Sabine and Marinette changed their last names back to Sabines Maiden name and they also changed their first names. After 2 years Sabine got into an accident and passed away and Marinette met the Sohmas and moved in with them, but little does she know that Adrien is related to the Sohmas because Felixs dad is a Sohma.
