Roles in the family
A "role" is the part that you play in your family. Each family member has a role that comes with different responsibilities
Parents
- raise children
- make sure that you are safe and that you have everything you need
- food, water, clothing, shelter, education
- make sure that they teach you right from wrong
- parents (usually one or both) work to provide food, shelter and money for the family
- parents make important decisions
- parents prepare food and keep the house clean
- help children with homework
Children
- obey their parents
- take care of their homework
- help with chores around the house (putting away toys, washing dishes, doing laundry, sweeping the floor)
- Do their best in school and other activities
- older brothers and sisters take care of their siblings
Grandparents
- help to take care of their grandchildren
- help with chores around the house
