Children who go to schools in poor and rural areas of Ghana are failing their ICT exams because they do not have hands-on computer practice.
Working public libraries in three regions of Ghana, EIFL offers a solution: mobile libraries equipped with solar power that take fully charged laptop computers to schools.
This EIFL project, which is funded by the technology company Nokia in partnership with GlobalGiving UK, will provide 1,800 eager school children with the opportunity to develop vital technology skills.
The project improves the children's chances in life . With regular skills practice, the children will pass their exams and progress to secondary school, opening the door to opportunities for further study and future employment.
