The Circle of Fifths on guitar is usually portrayed as a circle with pitches arranged by the number of sharp and flat notes in their respective keys. The circle moves around by fifth intervals. For example, usually at the top of the circle is the C, then immediately to the right of it is the G, and then to the right of that is the D, etc.
The circle is one of the best tools for any musician and will show you which notes and chords work together. This is not only great for finding chords for when you're trying to write a song, but also great if you're trying to jam along to a song. It's especially great for incorporating scales into songs.
