Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis addressed the tragic boat accident near Mumbai's Butcher Island, where a Navy boat collided with the 'Neelkamal' passenger vessel. The incident claimed 13 lives, including 10 civilians and 3 Navy personnel, while 101 people were safely rescued. Rescue operations involving 11 craft and 4 helicopters were conducted by the Navy, Coast Guard, and police. The critically injured are receiving treatment at a Navy hospital, and families of the deceased will receive ₹5 lakh ex gratia from the CM relief fund. An investigation into the incident has been ordered.
