French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot visited the Lebanese Red Cross center in the Gemmayzeh neighborhood of Beirut on January 1, 2025.
Mr. Barrot and his colleague Sébastien Lecornu, the Minister of the Armed Forces, arrived in Lebanon on Monday, where they had a series of talks concerning the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
They also celebrated New Year’s Eve with the French Blue Helmets of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the village of Deir Kifa.
