The Old Man of Coniston

Just under five hours for the 8miles. 21K steps. The last day. The best walk. Starting from Coniston taking the west side of the valley passing up through old quarries, passing Low Water tarn, before the very steep and direct hike up to the top of The Old Man of Coniston (Wainwright 803m). Taking in the views we descended down into Goat's Hawse before climbing up to take in Dow Crag (Wainwright 780m), Buck Pike and Brown Pike, before descending onto the paths back to Coniston
