U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has announced a 400 million dollar arms package for Ukraine during a visit to Kyiv, just weeks before the U.S. presidential election. As Russia advances in eastern Ukraine, Austin reaffirmed U.S. support, but uncertainty looms over future aid which depends on the election outcome. In the meantime there is a possibility of Putin meeting the UN Secretary General on the final day of the BRICS Summit. Andreas Umland, an Analyst at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs joins us to discuss these developments.
