Skyr at the store is not only expensive, but generally is made with homogenized, ultra-pasteurized and grain fed cow milk, which are best to avoid when possible.
When you make dairy products at home with high quality (grass fed/pasture raised, non-homogenized, raw or low-heat pasteurized) milk, you have more control over the quality of the product you are consuming.
