Many Kenyans joined the rest of the world in marking mother’s day which is normally celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of May every year. This year the day coincided with the World Lupus Day which is marked on the 10th of May annually. In Kenya it is estimated that over 200,000 people are living with lupus a life-altering autoimmune disease that can affect any organ of the body and medical practitioners warn that the number could be higher due to undiagnosed cases.
