It’s Christmas week—food, drink, and celebrations galore.
Trying to go low-calorie now? Mate, that’s asking for trouble.
Here’s the deal:
When you show up to events starving, you’re setting yourself up to overindulge and feel like crap after. Instead, try this:
✅ Eat veggies and protein before events to feel satisfied.
✅ Focus on maintaining your weight this week, not losing.
✅ Enjoy the celebrations mindfully—have the mince pie, don’t stress.
And here’s my BIG rule:
DO NOT count calories on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
For fu*k’s sake, it’s Christmas.
Eat the turkey.
Smash the pigs in blankets.
Savor the chocolate log.
If you’re tracking calories while unwrapping presents, you’re doing it wrong. 🎅
But if you are going low-cal, watch for these signs:
1️⃣ Your Mood’s in the Bin 😡
Feeling grumpy, tired, or snapping at the kids? Your deficit might be too extreme. Fat loss doesn’t require you to sacrifice your sanity—or your Christmas cheer.
2️⃣ You’re Snacking Like It’s a Sport 🍪
Low-cal meals leave you ravenous, so you’re raiding the cupboards. Instead, increase calories in your main meals—add lean protein and carbs to stay full and avoid the snack spirals.
3️⃣ You’re Exhausted & Can’t Be Arsed 🛋️
If you’re too knackered to train, move, or even enjoy the day, your body’s screaming for more fuel. Adjust your calories so you can actually show up for the things (and people) that matter.
This week isn’t about restriction—it’s about balance.
Show up, enjoy the moments, and stop the guilt.
If you’re ready to approach 2025 without the extremes, drop me a 🎄, and
I’ll send you my free guide.
No faff, just simple advice to help you feel your best. 💪
