As indicated in the title, Step 2 out of "4" identifies delving further in to my repairs that actually began around 1/3/2023.
With the keyboard removed, full view is done of the "patent action" created solely by Bluthner for earlier Grand Piano design.
Of the 88 keys, 5 or 6 of what is called a "hammer shank" had seen repair thru the years. #1 piano key upper hammer shank "hammer" was broken off and required repair.
Key #86 had seen a repair by yours truly years ago using a plastic tube as a sleeve to offer additonal support when grafting the broken shaft together.
The decision was to repair Key #1 but by the time the piano actions were completed, Key #86 gained a new shank as well.
