Highlights of the GVR's East n' West Tour, which ventured all over New Zealand's North Island between Friday 9 and Wednesday 21 April 2021.
The Glenbrook Vintage Railway is New Zealand's Premier Heritage Rail operator, and own recently overhauled DBR 1254, which hauled the tour with 6 of their yellow main line carriage fleet.
The tour made it's way to many stopping points such as Napier, Palmerston North and New Plymouth, where it also hauled a few side trips for the locals to ride on their railway.
Neither GVR, or the Railway Enthusiasts society (previous operator of these types of trips) had been down the Wairarapa Line to Masterton before, and records are also unclear about the line to Napier.
The GVR will be back in the near future with more tours and side trips for all to enjoy!
