In our next #Lochdown tour, we're showcasing Loch Voil, a beautiful loch situated in a historic area known as Rob Roy country. Rob Roy McGregor is an infamous 17th century Scottish outlaw who became immortalised as a folk hero in works by writers Sir Walter Scott and William Wordsworth. 📚

One of the country's Great Trails has been named after the 'Scottish Robin Hood' (The Rob Roy Way). The long-distance route traverses many places that were important in McGregor's life, and also crosses the Highland Boundary Fault, where the highlands and the lowlands meet.
