Lordington Lavender farm is located north of Chichester, West Sussex and is owned by local farmer Andrew Elms. The lavender is grown with respect and conservation of the environment and that no fertilizers or pesticides are used. It has become haven for tons of wildlife including butterflies, bees, and many red- listed bird species have been spotted around the farm including skylarks and barn owls.
Access to the field is about 5 to10 minutes walk from the car park via a steep and uneven slope.Previous years visitors can take the tractor and trailer rides to the fields but due to the current pandemic restrictions, the rides are suspended this year.
Every summer the lavender farm opens its fields to the public for just A WEEK (but this year open-week included two weekends).
It was a glorious sunny day when visited the farm. Breathtaking view from the first glimpse to up close with the bees and butterflies.Truly a sight to behold rows and rows of lavender in full bloom sloping up the hill. I could sit all day, enjoy the majestic views, and breath- in the light, fresh and relaxing scent of the lavender field.
