Dr. Maxwell Darko Asante, a Chief Research Scientist and the lead rice breeder at the CSIR-Crops Research Institute (CSIR-CRI) speaking on "CRI-Agyapa", a lowland rice variety developed and released by the Institute.
The variety meets consumer preferences and is not only expected to increase productivity in farmers' fields but also play a major role in Ghana's quest to achieving rice self-sufficiency.
