It's always all about landings! And good landings always come from good approaches, which come from good patterns. Always fly patterns as tight as you can. Ideally if the engine fails anywhere in the pattern you can make a landing to the runway. Safety is critical too - traffic will come into the pattern from different directions, and some pilots won't be as alert as you - be ready!
