Za'atar is a spice blend from the middle east, made with things like cumin, oregano, thyme, sumac, sesame seeds and marjoram. There can be many blends or family recipes out there. It's getting pretty easy to find in stores or it can be ordered on the internet. It can can used for just about everything. I love to use it for soups, grilled veg or meats like chicken and lamb.
