With the 3.0 litre V6 Turbo Diesel’s Overboost feature engaged, the Amarok V6 surges to an unrivalled 180kW, making it 33kW more powerful than its nearest competitor. The most powerful ute in its class
This ute is powerful. Very powerful. The latest generation 3.0l TDI V6 Engine delivers 165kW of power delivering 550Nm of torque, which lets it do the 0 to 100 dash in 7.9 seconds. Oh yeah, and it has an overboost function that delivers even more punch when you really need it. That’s an extra 15kW on top of its class-leading grunt.

The power to tow.
The most powerful ute in its class is powerful enough to handle almost anything, with a braked towing capacity of 3500kg when fitted with a genuine Volkswagen tow bar.

Stop! Amarok time
The most powerful ute in its class also boasts some class-leading stopping power. Not only does the Amarok V6 have the largest brakes in its class, it features front and rear ventilated disc brakes, which means superior braking performance and reduced chance of brake fade.

Black is the new black.
Make a powerful impression with the new eye-catching 18 inch 'Rawson' anthracite alloy wheels, matte black styling bar and side steps, darkened tail lights and Dark Label decals. The dark theme continues with a matte black rear bumper, door handles and wing mirrors. And when you’re ready to light up the night, flick on the Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and get noticed.

Enjoy the ultimate driving seat as you find yourself engulfed in luxurious, heated Vienna leather1. The new Amarok V6 Dark Label is also trimmed with black headlining, pillar trim, and features Dark Label embroidered floor mats.

Pallets, sandbags, stones – whatever you want to transport. With a payload of up to 911kg, depending on Amarok V6 model, virtually everything is possible.

The largest tray in its class
The Amarok V6 can pack a full size ‘Euro’ pallet with its class-leading 1222mm tray. Not only is it the widest, it has four lashing eyes conveniently located around the load space. Plus, when you work late, there’s a light above the rear window to illuminate the tray. And, with a tailgate that can cope with loads up to 250kg, the Amarok V6 will take the brunt of the most extreme workloads.

Tough not rough

Pretty, rugged
With an aggressive new front, the new Amarok V6 is every bit as rugged on the outside as it is underneath. We’ve dialed up the brawn with large alloy wheels, a sports bar and illuminated side steps on selected models. Along with Bi-Xenon headlights, daytime running lamps and chrome accents, style never takes a back seat in this ute.

Hard as rails
The chassis is tough enough for whatever you throw at it – or under it. With two long chassis rails, connected by shorter rails, it consists of 7 cross sections. These cross sections offer maximum strength and rigidity optimising off-road and towing performance.

When it comes to entertainment and navigation, the Amarok V6 nails it. With the addition of App-Connect as well as the Discover Media system, the Amarok will make any drive feel ten times more enjoyable.

The apps from your phone in your car
Access your smartphone’s screen, selected apps, maps, and music through App-Connect on your car’s touchscreen and Voice Control. You can do this thanks to three innovative technologies: Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and MirrorLink® interfaces.

With two SD card slots for navigation and media, 2D and 3D (bird's eye) map views, CD player with auxillary input and a 6.5" colour display with touchscreen, navigation has never been easier thanks to the Discover Media package on the Amarok V6.

With this much oomph under the hood, it would be remiss of us not to also include a bunch of our comfort and convenience features. Plus, to help you make the most of all that unadulterated V6 power, the Amarok boasts off-road technology that makes short work of off the beaten track.
The always-on 4x4 system utilises a Torsen differential to distribute optimal power between all four wheels. With a 40:60, front to rear power distribution, the Amarok V6 shines on all road surfaces.
