INGREDIENTS:
Mince / Qeema (mutton / chicken / beef) 1/2 kg / 500 gm
Sabut masoor (khari masoor) 1/2 cup / 120 gm
Basmati rice 2.5 cups / 600 gm
(Paste)
Ginger 1 inch piece
Garlic 8 cloves
Green chilies 3 medium size
(Gravy)
Onions 2 medium size
Tomatoes 2 large size
Green chilies 2 large size
Lemon juice 1 whole
(Powder Spices)
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1.5 tsp
Cumin powder 3/4 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Shan biryani masala 1 tbsp (optional)
(Whole Spices For Rice)
Cinnamon stick 1 large size
Black peppercorns 10
Cloves 6
Green cardamoms 8 pods
Bay leaves 2
Star anise 2 pods
(Layering)
Fresh coriander 1 cup (chopped)
Mint Leaves 1 cup (chopped)
Lemon slices 1 whole
Brown onions 1 large size
(Other)
Yoghurt 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Kewra water 2 tsp
Food color 1/4 tsp (dissolved in water)
Oil 1 cup (for gravy) + 2 tbsp (for rice)
Clarified butter (ghee) 2 tbsp
Water 1 cup (for gravy)+ 3/4th of pot (for rice)
Note: Use SALT & CHILIES according to taste
