Entry Test Compulsory for Admission in Punjab University (PU) Lahore 2022-23:Test required in PU

University of the Punjab (PU) Lahore has made an important decision about admissions in undergraduate degree programs for session 2022-23. Entry Test would be mandatory for admission in all degree programs of Punjab University Lahore. The vice chancellor of Punjab University announced that ECAT is mandatory for admission in Engineering programs while USAT is required for all other undergraduate programs. All those students who want to get admission in University of the Punjab (PU) Lahore will have to qualify Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) conducted by Higher Education Commission (HEC). However, some degree programs will require a separate Entry Test e.g. ECAT for Engineering program, MDCAT for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Law Admission Test (LAT) for LLB and College of Art & Design will conduct its own Entry test while qualifying USAT with minimum 50% marks will be necessary for admission in all other degree programs including PUCIT. It is expected that Punjab University would open its admissions in undergraduate degree programs in the month of September after the announcement of USAT result. Admissions in Doctor of Pharmacy program by Punjab University College of Pharmacy (PUCP) are started in September and usually continue till October. University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has decided not to include MDCAT weightage in merit calculation for admission in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) programs in all campuses. Like last year, the admission would be based on Matric and Intermediate marks where Matric marks would contain 30% weightage and FSc marks 70% weightage. All those students who want to secure admission in UVAS need not to to qualify any Entry test whatsoever
