My name is Dr. William Vinyard and I'm a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic plastic surgery. My office is in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, which is on the Treasure Coast of Florida. Today, we're going to be talking about bodytite. Bodytite is similar to liposuction, which is
traditionally used to remove some of the excess fatty tissues in unwanted areas. The
difference between bodytite and liposuction is that after the liposuction is performed and the
contouring is done you're going to get heating of the tissue through the bodytite procedure and that's going to cause skin tightening that you wouldn't see in traditional liposuction. Alone bodytite can be
performed both under anesthesia or in the office. Most of time it's being performed in the office under local anesthetic. Being that it can be performed in the office means that there's no anesthesia fees and surgical center facility fees that can be costly. The physical downtime is about oneday to a week depending on the person. The social downtime is the same. These areas may show some bruising and some swelling, but most of the areas that we're treating are covered with their clothing so it's easily hidden. After the procedure their confidence is boosted and you can see that on their face.
