Lake Garda water have reached the levels lowest in 15 years amid record drought that has affected the entire country.

At Sirmione, in the southernmost part of Lake Garda, rocky "beaches" have emerged where the water usually is - enabling tourists to stroll and sunbathe.

"Boats struggle a little to get out, and tourists might slip on the rocks, but for us it is more difficult to rent sun beds because they usually are just next to the water like in a swimming pool", explained Mario Treccani, who owns a lido in Sirmione.
