This is how to tune your guitar to what is known as DADGAD Tuning. This is alternatively named Dsus4 tuning or Celtic tuning.

We tune (from low to high) DADGAD (hence the name!). String 6 is the thickest, lowest-sounding string that is nearest to you as you look down upon the strings. String 1 is the thinnest, highest-sounding note nearest the floor.

To use the video like a guitar tuner try and play each string in order from low to high along with the video and try to match the pitch of the note being played.
