Prague! What an incredible place, it looks like you are walking through a gothic fairy tale. The Charles Bridge is the most famous bridge in the Czech Republic and for good reason! All of the historical statues mixed with incredibly scenic views and you get a unique place in the world.
Constructed during medieval times beginning in 1357 and completed 45 years later in 1402, it was the only way to cross the river Vltava until 1841! It’s main function was to connect Prague Castle (also totally worth visiting) and the Old town, which is still in existence today.
The 30 statues were all from between the late 1600’s to early 1700’s and have significant meaning to the history of the country.
For amazing access I recommend staying at the Pod Vezi Hotel, it’s literally at the start of the bridge and is a beautiful boutique hotel with a great restaurant:)
