NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg hosts Allied defense ministers in Brussels to discuss latest developments, with Gaza and Ukraine expected to be high on the agenda. Stoltenberg and defense ministers also prepare for the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington. Ahead of the meeting Stoltenberg said "historic progress" was made after announcing 18 members state have met the alliance's defence spending target. The meeting comes days after leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump caused a political storm after warning NATO allies he “would encourage” Russia “to do whatever the hell they want” to a member country that did not meet NATO's defense spending guidelines.
