মাঝে মাঝে মনে হয় আমাদের জীবনটা নৈরাশ্যের বেড়াজালে আটকে থেকে শুধু নিপীড়িত হবার গল্প। যেদিকেই যাবেন, অপেক্ষা করছে ‘কোপ’। একদিকে অর্থ আর প্রভাবশালীদের হাতে সাধারণেরা কোপের উপর থাকে। আবার পাশার টেবিল ঘুরে গেলে সুযোগে সেই সাধারণেরাই অর্থবানদের কোপ মারতে ছাড়েনা। আমরা সবাই সেই ইঁদুর দৌড়ে সামিল। সুখের খোজ করে যাচ্ছি, কোপের পর কোপ খেয়ে যাচ্ছি, কিন্তু এখনো বোধগম্য হয়নি - যেখানে খুজছি সেখানে সুখ নাইরে পাগল।

“Kop” explores the rather bizarre predicament we find ourselves in, using the physical act of “slashing” as a metaphor. The song cautions against a society that is rotting from within. The weak and poor getting ‘slashed’ by the powerful and rich, is an accepted social norm from time immemorial. But we find the tables often turn, when the weak also get pleasure out of ‘slashing’ the powerful, given the opportunity. We are all in it, in this rat-race, hoping to find happiness. Happiness however, ironically is not found where we are looking.
