President Yoweri Museveni officially commissions the construction of the four trillion Nakawa Naguru housing project with a caution to the contractors to speed up the construction work or else risk having the contract withdrawn. The President also castigated critics who allegedly caused an 8-year delay of the project. The first phase comprising over 1,000 apartments is expected to house tenants who were evicted from the site.
