Ramadan is almost here! So, I wish you all a happy, healthy and safe Ramadan! Today's video, I am sharing with you the most famous Traditional Moroccan recipe made specially in Ramadan and could be also made for a woman who just gave birth or breastfeeding. This recipe could be considered as energy balls too! I am going to list below two different recipes, the traditional one and the Sanae's Way! Sanae's Way is the one I recommend you guys to try. So, let's get started!
Ingredients for Sanae's Way:
1 tsp of salt
500 grams of Roasted All Purpose Flour
250 grams of Roasted Barley Flour
250 grams of Roasted millet Flour
250 grams of Roasted Sorghum Flour
250 grams of Roasted oats (oats flour is better)
100 grams of slightly roasted and ground Flax Seeds
100 grams of slightly roasted and ground Anis Seeds
100 grams of slightly roasted and ground Fennel Seeds
10 grams of cardamom Powder
10 grams of ground Arabic Gum
3 tbsp of Cinnamon Powder
1 tsp of ground Nutmeg
500 grams of roasted ground Almonds (Almond Butter)
250 grams of blanched deep-fried Almonds coarsely chopped
500 grams of roasted ground Sesame Seeds that look like Sesame Butter
250 grams of roasted coarsely chopped Sesame Seeds
250 grams of roasted ground Cashews (Cashew Butter)
250 grams of roasted ground Walnuts (Walnut Butter)
250 grams of roasted ground Peanuts (peanut Butter)
250 grams of dates Molasses
250-500 grams of Honey (it depends on how sweet you want it)
250-500 ml of very hot Extra Virgin Olive Oil (it depends on how wet and moist you like it)
Ingredients for Traditional recipe:
1 kg of roasted All Purpose Flour
1 kg of blanched, deep-fried Almonds coarsely chopped
1 kg of roasted Sesame Seeds (50% ground to paste, the 50% coarsely chopped)
75 grams of slightly roasted Anis Seeds (ground to powder)
75 grams of slightly roasted Fennel Seeds (ground to powder)
50 grams of Cinnamon Powder
1 tsp of ground Nutmeg
1 tsp of salt
500 grams of Icing powdered Sugar
500 ml of Beurre Noisette or very hot vegetable oil
