In Dallas, the SMU Mustangs took care of the UT Arlington Mavericks with a 71-46 victory. SMU got off to a slow start, trailing 23-13 at the end of the first quarter, and then in the final three quarters the Mustangs gave up a total of 23 points. Nya Robertson tied her season-high with 29 points. She also had four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. Jessica Peterson had a double-double with 12 points and 21 rebounds. Peterson's season high in rebounding coming into the game was five rebounds.
